Why We Hate Hatch Tards.

I was looking through pictures today and could not help but think this shit right here is why we hate hatch dogs. Perfect specimen.  Love them and leavem boys and don't give them to some hatchery to rape them either. Oh and kill every hatchery fish you can.

What a fish! I agree, hatchery fish must die and I'm not a fan of broodstock programs. Hopefully we can get our fish management skills in check before it's to late...

human society is so lame, the Native Steelhead and Salmon used so plenteful and healthy, everything we touch gets ruined.. the Native Americans harvested the fish for centuries and they never had any issues.... I could rant about this shit for days bro i also ^ agree Brood stock is just one more way to screw something else up with there species.

Your anger and bitterness seems misdirected at one of natures own. The reviled hatchery fish makes the same incredible journey and deserves our respect as a living creature. Self serving chest thumping helps nothing.

Incorrect, chest thumping helps promote native fish and encourage the elimination of genetic clones that spread disease, compete with both juvenile native salmonids in the food chain and on spawning beds in their adulthood.

Should they be respected as a quarry? Sure, but with the knowledge of their faults and the sacrifice they make on our native waterways. If you don"t believe me then read Hitoshi Araki's article on captive breeding. If you do not want to believe it, then you at least know why I fight for native fish.

Not questioning the science or intent, but your promoting your own self interest with a picture of a wild fish that you have lifted out of the water for your amusement.

What's seems incorrect is your rage and disrespect towards another living animal that is the by-product of man's flawed but well intentioned interference.

True respect for all living creatures, not just the ones that suit our lifestyle and dogma, is the key to lasting and meaningful change.

Be the fish, Danny.

The hatchery machine over decades of use have contributed to our decline of native runs of fish throughout the PNW. By accepting the flaws of societal change and acceptance its product, one accepts its role in our ecosystem. If this is a character flaw in my perception as well as others who believe the same, then I accept it.

Meaningful change in the preservation of native salmonids include the reduction and elimination of hatcheries from our waterways. Scientific data proves it but social acceptance has allowed it to continue. I for one will continue to voice my opinion against this social acceptance and promote the organizations that believe the same and preserve the scraps we have left.

Viewing a hatchery fish as equal is counterproductive, understanding and respecting the complexity of their life cycle and miracle they also faced in returning is given, but not even close to the extent of those offspring that were raised without the hands of humans.

Preaching to the choir here. The point is not equality but as you state-respect. That seems to be sorely missing.

I don's see any problem here

Politics make mistakes, environmtal activists fix it!
Eat more invasive species, or throw them to the bank to feed other native animals.

Kind to invasive sp. equal cruel to native species. Native fish' future is on our hands. Support native fish society! Good people there!
